mucoder hypercyclic release notes ================================= Acknowledgments --------------- -VST versions use VST Plugin Technology by Steinberg. -Standalone Windows version uses ASIO Technology by Steinberg. VST and ASIO are a trademark of Steinberg Soft- und Hardware GmbH. Short description ----------------- hypercyclic is an LFO-driven MIDI arpeggiator. Two tempo-synced LFOs can be used to modulate various parameters to create interesting rhythmhic effects and chord variations. The product is complemented by a groove function for playing slightly off the beat. The main use for hypercyclic is to generate midi that can be recorded and/or sent to other plugins. However it also features a simple built-in synth for testing purposes. Supported platforms are Windows (standalone, vst), Mac (standalone, vst, au) and Linux (standalone, vst). Latest version -------------- -1.0.171 : KVR DC07 RC2 Release notes per platform --------------------------- Windows ------- -Both XP SP2 and Vista are supported -Standalone and VST versions are available -Tested hosts: -Ableton Live 6.0.7 -Cubase 4.03 -Energy XT 2.0 Max OSX ------- -Product was tested on OSX 10.4.10, Intel platform only. -Universal Binaries are provided, but PPC platform was not tested -Standalone, VST and AU versions are available -Tested hosts: -Logic 7.2 Express -Garageband -Aulab Known issues: -AU version does not support midi-out to the host (this is by design, since AU does not allow it). You can however send midi-out to the IAC loopback bus and consume from that bus again in your host. This has been tested with Logic 7.2 Express. However, expect additional latency from this detour. Linux ----- -Product was tested on Ubuntu Feisty Fawn. -Both standalone and (linux native) VST versions are provided -VST version has been tested with the EnergyXT host -Other hosts that do not support native VSTs (eg Rosegarden) can be used with the VST-DSSS bridge. Use the win32 dll in that case, NOT the native linux .so binary. However this will be slower since the system must emulate a win32 environment using Wine. Known issues: -Used as a VST in energyXT2, when opening the help pane, the window does not redraw. Seems to be a host problem. Workaround is to close the plugin window and reopen it. -No jack support for standalone version. This is by design currently. More information ---------------- www.mucoder.com/hypercyclic
